About AbilityOS
Built because small centers
deserve better tools.
We built AbilityOS because we kept watching the same thing happen: dedicated EIDBI teams with real clinical skills, drowning in administrative work that large agencies solve with entire departments. Small centers deserve the same operational infrastructure — without the enterprise price tag or the six-month implementation.
Give every EIDBI center — regardless of size — the operational backbone to deliver great care and stay fully compliant, without burning out the people who make it happen.
Small and growing autism centers in Minnesota — typically 5 to 50 staff — operating under DHS 245D requirements, providing ABA and EIDBI services to children and families.
Minnesota-based and Minnesota-focused. We know the DHS audit process, the 245D documentation requirements, and the realities of small center operations here.
Our story
We saw the problem firsthand.
The directors running small EIDBI centers are some of the most committed people we've ever met. They're also doing the jobs of five people — director, QSP, HR manager, credentialing coordinator, and IT department — simultaneously.
The tools available to them were either expensive enterprise systems built for hospital networks, or cobbled-together spreadsheets that nobody had time to maintain. Neither worked for a 12-person center trying to keep up with DHS requirements while actually serving clients.
So we built AbilityOS. Starting with the compliance dashboard, then adding AI-assisted note documentation, then scheduling, then audit export — every module shaped by real feedback from real center teams in Minnesota.
The problem becomes clear
After working alongside Minnesota EIDBI centers, we saw the same struggle everywhere: capable teams buried in spreadsheets, missed credentials, paper trails, and last-minute audit panic.
First version shipped
We built the compliance dashboard and credential tracking module with three real centers. Their feedback shaped everything that followed.
AI note assist launched
After watching clinicians spend 20+ minutes on every session note, we built AI assistance that cuts that to under 6 minutes — with full clinical accountability.
AbilityOS today
A complete operational platform for small and growing EIDBI centers. Compliance, clinical documentation, scheduling, staff management, and audit export — all connected.
What we believe
How we build.
These aren't values we put on a wall. They're the principles behind every product decision we make.
Centers first
Every decision starts with one question: does this make life easier for the people running these centers? Not for us. For them.
Compliance without compromise
We don't cut corners on 245D requirements. Every workflow, every template, every alert is designed around what DHS actually expects.
AI that earns trust
We use AI where it genuinely helps — note drafting, compliance monitoring, audit assembly — and we make every AI action visible and attributable.
Simple on purpose
Small centers don't have IT departments. AbilityOS is designed to be configured in days, not months, by the people who actually work there.
Built with real teams
We've worked directly with EIDBI center directors, QSPs, clinicians, and credentialing staff. Their workflows shaped this product.
Audit-ready always
We built AbilityOS so that audit readiness is a continuous state, not something you scramble for when DHS calls.
